There really haven't been any useless holidays...at least ones I'm qualified to celebrate.

Example: today was Spouse's Day. Yeah, nothing related to me.

The last few days have had awesome, and thus not useless, holidays. National Peanut Butter Day, Opposite Day, Compliment Day...all awesome. Maybe I should've captured them on film too. Oh well.

Anyway.

This is a shameless brag post. I've been spending a lot of my free time in the evenings working with my hands this week.

{ A woman...from SINGAPORE...e-mailed me and asked her to make these for me. She didn't say what she's using them for, but I'm guessing they're for a wedding. }

{ messed around with another set of blank ceramic tiles }

{ someone saw the original ones I made for fun awhile back and asked me to make 18 of them for her }

{ all packed up in the box }

{ I had a free hour at the end of the evening tonight, so I finally made the shelf I've been needing for my room. Taller than me! It's part of a larger project I'm anxious to finish and document. }

{ something small I've been doing here and there this week. experimenting with heavy gauge wire }

Maybe you think this is boring. But your other option for an "elyse's free time activity blog post" would be about working out. And THAT'S boring.
