(Not my favorite weather season. No way. That's late spring and early summer folks.)
But lovely beautiful wonderful Christmas. December. Love it.
I began that month recounting my baptism, the best day of my life. And then I fell off the face of the blogosphere.
Right after my baptisaversary, I had a birthday! It was lovely. The festivities lasted about 4 days. We seriously had some sort of birthday lunch or dinner at a restaurant every single day. Haven't felt that full since summer vacation.
{pillow bread and strawberry lemonade in a mason jar...must have birthday meal}
Madre and I went to the symphony...one of our more frequent activities...
My realio birthday fell on Sunday--went to church, felt lots of goodwill, came home and started decking our little living tree...starting with some legit strung cranberries.
Sister and her (soon to be) fiance came over with the adorable dog they just rescued. Mom had just bought the pup a Santa suit, so we made Demi model it...

Mom was excited to surprise me with a heart cake she made while I was churching it up in the morning...
After some epic presents (gift cards galore...and a free round trip plane ticket anywhere!!!), headed off to the boys' house for game night/second round of festivities. Complete with second cake. So.much.sugar.
(Not to be overlooked, plenty of fantastic phone calls from the far flung amigos close to my heart. Totally made my day.)
So the biggest thing we have to ask ourselves: Where is this free plane ticket going to take me?!
