I was also trying to find or make really meaningful Christmas gifts this year, performing flute schtuff for the holidays at various venues (I basically lived at the creche exhibit this year), going to as many social events as I could, trying to get in all the holidayness/caroling/service/charity projects I could.
So for the last 6 weeks I've been gogogogogogogogoooooooooooooooo. Dec 26th was the first day of my pseudo-vacation. So I'm reveling in the down time I currently have. I have a few areas of my life I've ignored for the last 6 weeks, so I'm making up for that. Dating the gym again, playing soccer a few times a week, phone dates, cleaning and organizing to my heart's content, and hopefully blogging better now. I actually have barely used my computer over the last 6 weeks--been relying mostly on my phone for internets and emails and whatnot.
Seriously, I'm so content right now. Snuggled in my bed, bonding with Abraham, stress-free, while Pandora blasts Jack Johnson, John Mayer, The Fray, and Mat Kearney. I've missed this.

In other news, I'm at almost addiction level with Twitter. I didn't use it very much at first--I only joined when Conan did so I could follow him and few other comedians. It's finally caught on with my demographic and now I think I use it more than any other piece of social media. Last night Rachel even convinced me to unprotect my tweets for a time--so now anyone can see them. She and I were so dumbsillyloopy last night during soccer after we epically failed at pong. It's {almost} embarrassing.
By far though, the best use of Twitter is to save a transcript of shenanigans from my mother. Like when we watched HP 7.2 on Christmas night and she was telling us Draco was a young Voldemort and that Draco was NEVER his name. Also, that the red-haired "Beasley's" had a giant baby shower.
Or this one:
I have the best mom ever.
