grateful grensday 19: temple edition

19. I'm SO grateful for temples! Our ward went on a trip to the Portland Temple today. Drove the 2 hours, had lunch together, and then filled the temple to do some work! The last time I went to the temple was in June, in Provo, and I was by myself in the baptistry. This time I was surrounded by everyone from my YSA ward. You alllll know what I'm going to say--it was awesome. Beyond awesome, really.

I love the temple for so many reasons, but here's what I loved and appreciated today: I love that when I'm in the temple, I don't care about anything else. It's like the stresses of the world don't exist. Worries about careers, moving, dating, grad school, whathaveyou...are nonexistent in the temple! Those things don't even cross my mind. It is bliss.

I've said it before: I would be so content just living in the temple forever. I would give up all of my worldly habits and entertainment to live there. Just constantly working in there...eating and sleeping when I need to. Ugh, it would be so fantastic!

{ love this place }

Sidenote: When we were walking down the outside steps, I immediately thought of walking around the grounds with Kersti in June...and seeing some pretty awesome orange bridesmaid dresses.
